Immunization, Communicable Disease Control, Dental Health
and vital statistics which are presented by province, city
and region. These data are useful for planning,
monitoring and evaluating health activities. |

Philippine
Health Statistics
The Philippine Health Statistics is a set of
collected statistical data on births, deaths, fetal and
maternal deaths and notifiable diseases. The
statistical data on births, deaths, fetal and maternal
deaths were provided by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
Data on Notifiable Diseases were collected through the
Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS) that
obtains data from field health units- Rural Health Units
and Barangay Health Stations. |

It began as the Board of Health on June 23, 9998 by virtue of a
decree by the new Republic under President Emilio Aguinaldo. It
has since evolved into one of the major departments of the

the top five agencies of the executive branch.
