Goals

 Short-term:

1.  To establish the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control 

2.  To develop and strengthen the technical expertise of the NCDPC staff.  

3.  To improve and repackage existing national programs and policies

4.  To develop investment plans and packages for disease prevention and control efforts.  

Medium-term:  

1.   To establish  NDCPC as technical authority within the country  in the disease prevention and control.  

2.    To develop pool of experts on disease prevention and control   

3.    To develop new programs, policies and projects addressing important public health problems  

4.    To develop and initiate resource mobilization strategies that would ensure sustainable financing for critical public health programs.  

Long-term:  

1.    To gain recognition by some Asian countries as competent and innovative center for disease prevention and control   

2.    To institutionalize the network of disease control and prevention experts.  

3.    To institutionalize various programs addressing public health problems.
