Health Advisory for All Saint's Day

30 October 2001

For those pertaining to have their meals in the cemetery, it is best to bring well-cooked food or buy from food outlets known to observe sanitary food handling practices.

Check for the expiration date of preserved fruit juices and other quenchers in tetra packs. Drifting water should be taken only from known sources and boiled to kill bacterial contaminants.

Street foods are prone to contamination with germs and bacteria. These may cause illnesses such as diarrhea, typhoid fever, hepatitis A and even food poisoning. Avoid buying from street food vendors.

As much as possible, avoid bringing children below seven years old to the cemetery. Smaller children are prone to contracting viral illnesses, dehydration due to the intense heat, and may suffer injury or may get lost from crowded places.

Medical teams from various DOH hospitals will be stationed in different strategic spots. A team will be posted at the South Super Highway near the Mapayapa Exit on October 31. Another team will be stationed near the Sta. Rita Exit at the North Expressway on the same data.

Meanwhile stimulant medical clinic will also be posted at the La Loma, North and South Cemete                      ries on November 1.
