LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS

• Designate a municipal/city Team Leader
• Advocate to various government and non government organization about the purpose and importance of community mobilization
• Encourage the enactment and/or strict enforcement of dog control ordinance
• Support “Responsible Pet ownership for Rabies Free Philippines”
  

BARANGAY CAPTAINS

• Organize a “Bantay Rabis sa Barangay” Brigade
• Initiate and oversee the overall program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within the municipality
• Generate support for the rabies program from other agencies
• Mobilize the people to actively participate in the community based rabies prevention and control prevention and control committees
• Make sure that there are no stray dogs and dogs has received yearly anti-rabies vaccination
• Continuous regular dialogues and situational analysis in the community committees
• Implement dog impounding of stray dogs

SCHOOL OFFICIALS

• Identify teachers who can be the Key Leader in organizing Anti Rabies Scouters in the school
• Initiate inclusion of rabies prevention and control PTA meetings
• Brigade can organize parents class to develop necessary knowledge and attitude on rabies prevention and control
• Top potential children from grades 4,5,6 who can be effective leaders and willingly and actively participate in the anti-rabies activities.

ANTI-RABIES SCOUTER

• Serve as student leaders in the campaign against rabies
• Organize and prepare rabies program strategies for rabies free community
• Act as models in the implementation of anti-rabies activities

• Networking and alliance building with barangay officials to ensure resource sharing and foster peoples participation
• Support community mobilization through people empowerment and have them involved in the process of situational analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and
  evaluation towards a self reliant community
• Provide logistic support for program activities

MEDIA ORGANIZATION

• Print and broadcast media to intensify awareness on the campaign of responsible per ownership

RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION

• Intensify the anti-rabies campaign during church
  services and lay meetings
• Plan and organize project for rabies prevention and control

PEOPLE ORGANIZATION

• Empower the people and have them get involve
• Generate support for a sustainable
  community based anti-rabies program
• Serve as anti-rabies police in the
  community
